TEN PIECES II
Ten Pieces is an exciting initiative for primary and secondary age students. Its aim is to open up the world of classical music to a new generation of children and inspire them to develop their own creative responses to ten pieces of music.
The film features stunning footage of a BBC Orchestra performing a selection of orchestral music, representing a wide range of styles and eras relevant to the Secondary (ages 10-14) music curriculum.
Each piece of music is introduced by celebrity presenters known to the age group, using an engaging mix of live action and animation.
The films are designed to act as an exciting gateway to orchestral music, stimulating the audience to respond creatively to the repertoire through composition, dance, digital art and, new for secondary, performance poetry.
